NU Pep Squad nets 2nd cheer dance diadem in a row

on

MANILA, Philippines – In what could be the coolest and hottest performance ever, the NU Pep Squad came away with a near-perfect Sarimanok-inspired presentation en route to capturing its second straight UAAP Cheerdance diadem Sunday (17 November 2019) before a sellout crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Ghicka Bernabe-mentored NU Pep Squad, like before, were again flawless on its death-defying, perfectly executed tosses, towering pyramids, fluid transitions and ultra-crisp tumbles and dance moves.

And the said performance never escaped the taste judges and that of the jampacked crowd as the six-time champion NU, last to perform in the eight-team field, brought the house down and received an arena-wide standing ovation for its seventh podium finish in eight years.

Meanwhile, the FEU Cheering Squad, which dished out a Michael Jackson-themed routine clinched 1st runner-up honors followed by the Adamson Pep Squad which did a Carribean-inspired performance.
