UNDAS 2019 Update

·       Midday Thursday, 31 October 2019, several classes and work were already suspended in order to pave the way for All Souls” Day and All Saints’ Day or “Undas”
·       Malacañang declared Thursday’s office as half-day work at government offices
·       President Rodrigo Duterte declared All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls Day (November 2) special non-working holidays
·       Work suspension is to “provide full opportunities for government employees to commemorate All Saints Day properly and allow them to travel to and from the country’s different regions”
·       Huge crowds are expected in different cemeteries to visit their departed loved ones and several are also expected to return to their provincial homes during the weekend break.
·       Public at large is being warned that before leaving their homes to unplug all appliances from sockets to avoid fire incidents
