President Rodrigo Duterte seemed alright when several businessmen saw him yesterday afternoon after his controversial fall from a motorcycle ride Wednesday night.

Duterte’s confidante, Senator Bong Go, revealed that the president sustained a slight injury and complained of some hip pain when he fell from his 650 cc motor dirt bike. A Presidential Security Group (PSG) member says that the President rode the bike after his arrival from the launching of Meralco’s coal fired plant in Taguig.

When he saw the bike, Duterte rode it inside the PSG compound. For some reason, the president decided to go out of the PSG gate. When he reached the gate, he took a sharp left turn and it was then that he lost control of the bike and fell.

The President used his left arm to cushion his fall. Go said that Duterte sustained some bruises and complained of some hip pain. Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that the President got some rest at the Bahay ng Pagbabago and did not need any operation.
