SMB trades Standhardinger to Northport for Tautuaa

MANILA, Philippines — The No. 1 pick in the 2017 PBA rookie draft in Christian Standhardinger has been traded by the San Miguel Beermen for Northport’s star player Moala Tautuaa.

The blockbuster trade that transpired between the two star players struck by their respective teams was announced by the Philippine Basketball Association on its website on Monday, 15 October 2019 .

Standhardinger is National team mainstay and helped Gilas Pilipinas to bag the gold medal in the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur.

He also helped the Beermen win the championship in the 2019 Philippine and Commissioner’s cup.

On the other hand, Moala Tautuaa was the No.1 pick by Talk ‘N Text in the 2015 PBA rookie draft before he was traded to Northport in 2018.

Tautuaa is expected to make his debut with San Miguel this coming Sunday (20 October 2015) even as Standhardinger plays his initial game as a Batang Pier against his former team, San Miguel Beermen, on Wednesday, October 23. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAmigo/CNS)
