Pangulong Digong Arestado sa Mayo o Hunyo?

Dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte posible raw ma-aresto sa Mayo o Hunyo dahil sa mga krimeng kinasangkutan nito sa madugong anti-drugs campaign nito noong kanyang administrasyon.

Ito ang pahayag ni dating Senator Antonio Trillanes IV na siyang nangunguna ngayon sa isinampang kaso sa International Criminal Court (ICC) laban kay dating Pangulong Digong na inakusahang utak sa pagpatay ng libo-libong mga Pilipinong sangkot sa drug trade noong kanyang administrasyon.

Sa panayam kay Trillanes sa The Agenda at Club Filipino na hosted ni Atty. Fred Mison, sinabi ng Magdalo leader na batay sa kanyang source, natapos na raw ng ICC ang kanilang imbestigasyon nitong Enero ngayong taon.

Posible aniyang ilabas ng ICC ang warrant of arrest laban kay Digong sa huling buwan ng ikalawang quarter, ibig sabihin dalawa o tatlong buwan mula ngayong buwan ng Marso.

Sa kabila aniya ng pag withdraw ng Pilipinas sa ICC, nagpatuloy ang imbestigasyon sa mga krimeng naganap diumano noong myembro pa ng international organization ang Pilipinas. Nag-imbestiga aniya ang mga myembro ng ICC nitong Disyembre at natapos na ang preliminary investigation.

Kahit na aniya walang enforcement power ang ICC, ayon kay Trillanes mayroong kasunduan ang ICC sa International Police or Interpol na maaaring asahang magpatupad ng warrant of arrest laban sa dating Pangulo.

May kasunduan ang Pilipinas sa Interpol kaya kahit na ayaw ng administrasyon ni Marcos Junior na papasukin ang ICC, magagawa diumano ang warrant service ng Interpol sa pakikipagtulungan ng kapulisan o kasundaluhan ng Pilipinas.
