An additional 18,945 patients have beaten the coronavirus disease 2019
(Covid-19), pushing the country’s overall recovery count to 1,928
million as of Tuesday.

The Department of Health (DOH), in its latest Covid-19 bulletin, said
recoveries account for 90.9 percent out of a total of 2.121 million
infections since the start of the pandemic last year.

Another 18,012 new cases and 161 deaths were also reported. These
figures bring the overall tally of active cases to 158,637 and the
death toll to 34,498.

The latest figures showed 92 percent of the active cases are mild, 3.4
percent are asymptomatic, 1.4 percent are severe, 2.49 percent are
moderate, and 0.7 percent are in critical condition.

“There were 35 duplicates removed from the total case count as 28 of
these are recoveries. Moreover, 105 cases previously tagged as
recovered were reclassified as deaths after final validation,” it
said.

DOH data on September 7, likewise, showed that 28.1 percent of 57,180
who were tested turned out positive for Covid-19.

All laboratories were operational on September 5 and 13 laboratories
were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository
System (CDRS).

Based on data in the last 14 days, the 13 non-reporting laboratories
contribute, on average, 3.6 percent of samples tested and 3.7 percent
of positive individuals.

To date, 76 percent of 4,200 intensive care unit beds, 67 percent of
20,800 isolation beds, 74 percent of 15,300 ward beds, and 58 percent

nationwide.

Meanwhile, 75 percent of 1,400 intensive care unit beds, 63 percent of
4,600 isolation beds, 74 percent of 4,200 ward beds, and 58 percent of
