Buoyed by a rally in the United States, stock investors initiated active trading today, closing the markets 76.50 points or 1.4% higher than yesterday’s trading at the Philippine Stock Exchange. Total trade value closed at 5,555.85.

With the exception of mining which is down by -0.19%, all sectors posted some gains today with holding firms up by 2.26% or 5,459.13 followed by services up by 1.65% and financials at 1.23%

Total trade volume 600.6 million shares with a total PHP value of 4.05 billion pesos. Ninety advance, eighty firms declined while 44 remained unchanged.
