BREAKING! PH   COVID-19  updates:  9,684 positive;   637 deaths;    1,408 recoveries

The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Tuesday that the positive cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) increased  by 199, bringing the total number to 9,684.

“As of 4PM today, May 5, 2020, the Department of Health reports 199 new cases (PH9486-PH9684) of COVID-19. NCR with 173 new additional cases, Region 7 with additional 1 case and 25 new cases from different Regions. The total number of cases in the country is now at 9,684,”said DOH COVID-19 Case Bulletin #052.

The DOH also reported 14 new fatalities,  bringing the death toll to 637.

DOH also announced 93 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 1,408./Stacy Ang
