Student, 3 other suspects arrested in P2M Caloocan drug buy-bust

MANILA, Philippines – A student and three other alleged drug personalities were arrested late Monday, 21 October 2019, by joint anti-drug operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office-National Capital Region (NCR) and Caloocan City Police Station 10 Special Drug Enforcement Unit in a drug  buy-bust operation at East Grace Park, Caloocan City.

According to a report by the operatives to PDEA RO-NCR Director 3 Joel B. Plaza they subsequently submitted to PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino, the suspects were identified as Kenjie Martin y Obispado (18, student), Jay-R Repol y Gutang (25, driver), Tonton Francia y Francisco (21) and Jason Luza y Fontanilla (23), both residents of Manila

The operatives allegedly nabbed the suspects at around 3 p.m. Monday at a gasoline station along 4th Avenue corner Rizal Avenue, East Grace Park, Caloocan City after transacting business with poseur-buyer PDEA agent.

Confiscated from the suspects were three knot-tied transparent plastic packs believed containing white-crystalline substance (Methamphetamine Hydrochloride) popularly known as shabu weighing 300 grams with estimated street value of Php 2,040,000.00.

A unit of a smartphone cell phone was also recovered along with bundles of buy-bust money.

Director Plaza said the suspects now faces serious legal drug trafficking case under Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of R.A. 9165. (Jimmy Mendoza/BCuaresma/IAmigo/CNS)
