The Currentph News Team is a unique group composed of veteran and new journalists with more than a 100 years of experience behind them.
Ricky Rivera began his journalistic career as a junior writer for Diaryo Filipino covering the Department of Justice. Months before his graduation from the University of the Philippines, Rivera took on the job as news writer cum desk editor for DZBB, the radio station of GMA7 news network. He then wrote for MGB of ABS-CBN, Manila Bulletin, did reportage for Radio Veritas under Mario Garcia and finally did reportage and anchoring duties for RPN 9. He then moved to the corporate world as media relations manager, account director, group account, vice president and now one of the partners in Rebel Marketing. He owns Impact Publishing, the force behind Currentph.com.
Jonathan Jay Jalbuna is a seasoned photojournalist. He is president of the Photographers of the Philippines and is once the chief of photographers of various publications. He is the Media Manager of Impact Publishing and handles the day-to-day operations of Currentph.com.
Like Jay, Norman Gorecho is a known lifestyle photojournalist. He has been with Impact since its founding in 2015. He’s the creative force behind Current magazine, the official news magazine of Impact Publishing.
Dindeth Ditablan is still new in the Philippine journalistic scene. Fresh from college, Dindeth was immediately hired to support Lloyd Tagbago in running the Currentph.com news magazine site.
Daryl de Jesus and Franz Lazatin are the creative geniuses behind video news reports published at Currentph.com and its Youtube channel, Currentph TV Philippines.
