Who is this public official who is now taking a copious number of sleeping pills lately? This official often peppers his statements with accusations that another government official is a high-class cocaine user and therefore unfit for office, despite having no basis at all to support such claims. My reliable Shadow told me that this official is not just taking sleeping pills but making the day with a one-pop of fentanyl–the addictive drug that’s supposed to alleviate pain felt by individuals all over the world. That’s a very dangerous mix.

This official is taking in all her misfortunes at once.

If this official loses his ongoing fight, he will not only lose billions of his family’s money, but they will also surely lose the crowd’s admiration, which will bring down his family’s political dynasty, a dynasty built on fear and intimidation.

Now, who’s really the addict?

As the bible admonished us by using the incident between Jesus Christ and the Sadducees, before you stone this woman or see the fault of others, pluck out the logs in your eyes.
Well, I’m not really surprised, what with the recent turn of events that saw her allies end up in jail after being betrayed by those who had supported them. Betrayal, surely, can cut a lot.

Blame yourself for allowing yourself and your family to be willing accomplices of former bureaucrats who thirst for a return to power. These unscrupulous individuals have been plotting for the ouster of the present dispensation as early as the first day of this person’s term of office, for these close-in power suckers seek to re-assume their tight control over the bureaucracy. Most of these people were political friends of the family. They were known to have acquired fantabulous sums of dirty money from their rackets during this official’s father’s incumbency. Everyone knows in elite circles how dirty these people are, and they continue to profess loyalty to the former dispensation because their former political ally, now an incumbent government executive, refused to endorse their reappointment to positions of power.

That explains why this rambunctious bunch keeps losing, because everyone knows their game. They are worse than the individuals behind the trillion-peso flood-control scandal. We would be worse off with them at the helm.

The only way for this beleaguered government official is for sectors of society to move and bring down this administration. They have used all their contacts within the military, but no one among the professional soldiery wants to be involved in the misadventure this official and his friends want.

Who among the soldiery of today would agree to stake his entire career and his family’s future on a misadventure predicated on a naked grab for power? As in previous attempts, and in those that succeeded, no one among those who risked their lives got the best of the deal.

Pure people power would not suffice. Let’s say they do succeed in ousting the present dispensation; the question of sustainability is a big one. Eventually, they would all lose power because I am sure as hell that a more formidable force from the displaced elites and the middle class would move to eradicate these people from the face of the earth.

So, you see, this official already knows what will happen to him, his family, and their political associates. Their enemies are in what we call a political mopping-up operation. The remaining vestiges of this group are slowly being dismantled and destroyed. It is just a matter of time.

I just hope this official survives all of this. It would be a great injustice to the people if, one day, we just hear in the news that this official lost his life ignominiously. It will not be good for all of us.

The Filipino People want to see this person completely dismantled and eradicated so that their bad example will occupy only a very small place in this nation’s historical narrative.

So, government official, just stay off drugs. No amount of drugs would ever heal your broken heart or reform your evil spirit. Remain stubborn and haughty. Let’s see where it goes. But we need you alive so that you’ll witness your downfall personally.
