State seismologists recorded a magnitude 5.3 earthquake that struck near Sarangani Island, Davao Occidental.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), it occurred at 5:25 a.m.
It had a depth of 13 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
According to Phivolcs, they don’t expect any damage.
