Fans of football clubs Novi Pazar and Radnicki based in Serbia threw toys onto the field to show solidarity with children affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey last month.

Tickets were not sold and fans were asked to come to the stadium on Monday with soft toys in the Serbian Super Liga match at the Novi Pazar City Stadium in Serbia.

Fans threw the toys onto the field before to the start of the match, which ended 1-0 in favor of Novi Pazar.

Novi Pazar is the largest city in the Sandzak region of Serbia. It was established in 1459-1461 by Ishakoglu Isa Bey, the founder of Bosnia’s capital Sarajevo and North Macedonia’s capital Skopje.

The devastating Feb. 6 twin earthquakes have claimed more than 46,000 lives in Türkiye’s southern region.

The magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 quakes, centered in Kahramanmaras province, have impacted some 13 million people across 11 provinces, including Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Elazig, and Sanliurfa.
