The Special Concern Lockdown Areas (SCLA) in Quezon City are down to 36 as of Tuesday.
Data released by the Quezon City government showed that from 47 on October 4, the number is down to 36 distributed in 22 villages and comprised of 758 families or 2,271 individuals.
The city government imposes granular lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections, according to the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.
Affected residents receive food packs and essential kits.
As of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, QC has 6,508 Covid-19 cases from as high as 9,000 a week ago.
Residents in SCLA are subjected to reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction swab tests and must isolate for 14 days.
The infected ones will be transferred to the city’s HOPE quarantine facilities.
The 12 HOPE facilities have an occupancy rate of 46.22 percent as of Sunday.
