The Philippines recorded 7,698 more recoveries on Saturday, pushing the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) survivors to 1.352 million.
In its daily case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) also tallied 53,665 active cases after it logged 5,908 new infections.
The death toll, meanwhile, reached 25,063 with 90 new fatalities reported today.
Since the outbreak began, the Philippines had 1.43 million confirmed cases, with 3.8 percent undergoing treatment, 94.5 percent recovered, and 1.75 percent succumbing.
Of the active cases, 91.2 percent have mild symptoms, 3.8 percent are asymptomatic, 1.4 percent are critical, 2 percent are severe, while 1.51 percent are moderate.
From July 1 to 3, at least 5,379 of the 50,752 individuals tested were positive with SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2).
“From the last reporting date, all laboratories were operational on July 1 while five did not submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System,” the DOH said.
The DOH said the concerned laboratories make up at least 2.2 percent of all the samples tested and 2.9 percent of the positive individuals in the last 14 days.
Nationwide, 55 percent of the total 3,500 intensive care unit (ICU) beds are occupied as well as 46 percent of 19,300 isolation beds and 43 percent of 12,100 ward beds.
In Metro Manila, in use are 40 percent of the total 1,100 ICU beds, 36 percent of 4,700 isolation beds, and 33 percent of 3,500 ward beds dedicated for Covid-19 patients.
