BREAKING! PH COVID-19 updates: 8,928 positive; 603 deaths; 1,124 recoveries

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday revealed that the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive cases have increased by 156 new cases, bringing the total  to 8,928 in the Philippines.

“As of 4PM today, May 2, 2020, the Department of Health reports 156 new cases (PH8773-PH8928) of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 8,928,” said DOH COVID-19 Case Bulletin #049.

The DOH also reported an increase by 24 the new fatalities, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 603.

DOH also announced 40 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 1,124./Stacy Ang
