Kabayan partylist Congressman Ron Salo recently shared a Facebook post calling on government to ensure that nutritious foods are being availed of by Filipina mothers and their children during the enhanced community quarantine or ECQ.

His concern stems from a recent consultation report which the partylist conducted with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and the Chevening Alumni Foundation of the Philippines (CAFPI) on the state of maternal health and nutrition in the Philippines.

Pagsigurado sa Kalusugan ng mga Nanay at kanilang Sanggol

Marami na tayong napagdaanan na krisis at kalamidad na sumubok sa ating pampublikong kalusugan – lindol, bagyo, volcanic eruptions, at ngayon naman ay Covid-19 pandemic. Napakalaking dagok sa ating maternal health ang dulot ng mga krisis at kalamidad na ito.

Nais naming ibahagi sa inyo ang natuklasan namin sa ginanap na konsultasyon ng KABAYAN Partylist, sa pakikiugnay nito sa Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) at Chevening Alumni Foundation of the Phillippines, Inc. (CAFPI) sa usaping “State of Maternal Health and Nutrition” noong November 2019 sa DAP.
