Mighty Sports downs Beirut Sports, sweeps Dubai International elims

MANILA, Philippines — Mighty Sports Philippines stayed unbeaten after sweeping all of their four games in the elimination round of the 31st Dubai International Basketball Championship after overpowering Beirut Sports Club Lebanon, 91-77, on Wednesday, 2020 January 28.

Mikey Williams erupted for 22 points, four rebounds, and four assists as the Philippine team cruised to a 4-0 card on top of Group A.

Mighty Sports import Renaldo Balkman provided the goods for Mighty Sports as he finished with 20 points, four boards, two assists, and two steals, while Andray Blatche tallied a double-double performance of 12 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists.

On the other hand, Jerom Johnson topscored for the Lebanese side with 30 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals in a losing effort.

Mighty will face the fourth-seeded team of the Group B in the single knockout quarterfinals.
