Publiko pinag-iingat sa pagkain ng “exotic foods”

MANILA, Philippines — Pinag-iingat ng Department of Health o DOH ang publiko sa lahat ng mga kinakain, kabilang na ang mga tinatawag na “exotic food.”

Ito ay kasunod na rin ng naglalabasang ulat na maaaring ang paniki at ahas ang pinagmulan ng 2019 Novel Coronavirus.

Sa panayam kay Health Sec. Francisco Duque III, sinabi nito na wala pang kumpirmasyon sa naturang mga report.

Pero may ilang sakit na napatunayan nang galing sa mga hayop, gaya ng SARS na mula sa civet cat, habang ang Ebola virus ay dahil daw sa mga paniki at unggoy.

Ani Duque, hindi naman bago ang pagkain ng mga exotic food. Gaya sa Pilipinas na may mga taong sumusubok sa iba’t ibang pagkain.

Pero ani Duque, kung maaari ay huwag nang kumain ng mga pagkain na magdudulot ng “risk” o panganib.

Kailangan ding matiyak na hindi malalagay sa alanganin ang kalusugan at buhay ng sinuman, kung hindi mapipigilan ang pagkain ng mga kakaibang pagkain lalo na ang mga “animal meat.”

Pinakamainam pa rin, ayon sa kalihim, na kumain ng mga masusustansyang pagkain.

Dapat ding ihanda ng maayos at lutuing mabuti ang mga pagkain, para ligtas para sa human consumption lalo na ng mga bata. (BENJAMIN CUARESMA/IAMIGO/Currentph.com)
