Manila, Philippines — The Department of Health has on Friday said it guarantees for an intensified campaign for safer Christmas celebrations and New Year’s revelries.

The DOH’s new, intensified campaign is aptly dubbed “Oplan Iwas Paputok Campaign.”

Part of the campaign is promoting and participating in Community Fireworks Display, celebrating with the family safely, creating noise using other things like beads, bowls, music, cans, and more.

You can also enjoy other ways like street parties, concerts, piano, games and more the DOH said.

The health department also urged Filipino to “learn the lessons of the past and start living well in the New Year.”

The DOH’ focus includes children who are often victims of fireworks.
