Intended to ease the traffic and help commuters get to their destinations fast, the Metro Manila Development Authority has relaunched the Pasig River Ferry transport system offering a test-free ride for one whole month as directed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
In Monday’s re-launching ceremony, MMDA chair Danny Lim, DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu, Senator Bong Go, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, and Philippine Coast Guard officials graced the occasion seen here doing President Duterte’s signature fist bump.
In the words of Senator Sonny Angara, Oversight/AdHoc Committee chair, relaunching of the river ferry “is one alternative that to me is easier and faster to implement, and that is the Pasig River ferry system.
