TAGAYTAY, Philippines –Margielyn Didal displayed the form that won her titles in previous competitions as she snared the gold medal in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games women’s Game of S.K.A.T.E on Thursday, December 5 at Sigtuna Hall in Tagaytay International Convention Center.

Flashing the champion she is made of, Didal  edged out fellow Filipina skateboarder Christiana Means in the tricks competition.

Didal, gold winner in the 2018 Asian Games uncorked a strong start on opening day and slipped past 12-year-old Thawdar Shin Thant from Myanmar in the preliminary round along with Indonesia’s Nyimas Cinta in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Means, who settled for silver, prevailed over Singapore’s Nur Farah Atika Abdullah in the preliminaries and flattened a tough start by Kyandra Susanto to setup an all-Filipino finals. (IAMIGO/CNS)
