MANILA, Philippines — Filipino Para Dance Pair Julius Obero and Rhea Marquez captured a silver and a bronze medal on Monday, 01 December 2019, at the World Para Dance Sport Championships in Bonn, Germany.
The world champion couple rendered a ballet rendition but failed to defend their title in the Combi Freestyle 2 category, where they scored a 25.26 mark to finish with a silver medal in the event which was dominated by a Russian pair.
They also bagged a bronze medal in the Combi Latin 2 event.
Earlier in the tournament, 17-year old Nueva Ecija native Lairca Nicdao topped the Junior Female Single 1+2 category.
Nicdao, who currently diagnosed with Osteosarcoma since 6 years old, joined the ranks of Obero and Marquez and became the country’s newest Junior World Para Dance champion. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAMIGO/CNS)
