Manila, Philippines — Two huge sports industry organizations have merged to form the largest DOTA2 league in the world.

This was after LGD Gaming and Esportsplay Gaming signed a formal agreement on the merger and launch of LGD International held at the Conrad Hotel in Pasay City recently.

LGD International trains and mentors’ players from across the country to participate in The International, DOTA2’s biggest tourney.

“This is the beginning of something special,” said Esportsplay Gaming COO John Tse.

“This is just the first step towards their mission to drive esports forward by creating a talent training program and developing an ecosystem,” a statement from the two organizations said. (Chris Figueroa/IAMIGO/CNS)
