Fuel Marking can reach Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines — The government’s nationwide roll-out of the Fuel Marking Program has reached Mindanao with the start of marking 60 million liters of diesel fuel at the Northern Mindanao Import Facility (NMIF) headed by the Philippine Shell Petroleum Corporation in Cagayan de Oro on 24 November.

The Philippine Shell first conducted the marking and was witnessed by Bureau of Customs officials and representatives from the project contractor SGS-SICPA.

This was followed by preliminary inspections at Davao terminals by Phoenix Petroleum and Insular Oil of the Department of Finance, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and Department of Budget and Management. (Cate Pallarco/IAMIGO/CNS)
