MANILA, Philippines – The Philsports Arena continues to be under construction days before the kick-off of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games events that the country will host.

The Games starts Saturday, 30 November 2019 through December 11, 2019.

The venue is set to host the SEA Games’ event of men and women’s volleyball tournament that is set from December 2 to 10.

The PH volleybelles are targeting no less than a podium finish behind phenom Allysa Valdez and team captain Aby Marano who will banner the women’s team campaign.

On the other hand, Marck Espejo and Bryan Bagunas are expected to spearhead the national men’s side.

Unfortunately, Philsports Arena remains under construction in spite of promises of contractors and sports officials that the venues will be completed in time for the regional-biennial meet with several preliminary events already started Sunday, November 24. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAMIGO/CNS)
