Angkas driver arrested in drug sting

MANILA, Philippines — Anti-drug operatives have arrested Sunday night a driver of Angkas, a motorcycle-riding app, following a successful buy-bust anti-drug sting in Quezon City.

The Angkas rider was identified as Jomar Ocfemia, 34.

Operatives said Ocfemia was arrested along with a certain Rhea Calumba in Camarilla street in Barangay San Roque, Cubao.

Recovered from the suspects were 24 sachets of shabu worth P20,000, a cellphone, marked money and a motorcycle.

According to police, the drug sting was put in place after they received reports that the two were allegedly pushing drugs in the area.  (Cate Pallarco/IAMIGO/CNS)
