MANILA, Philippines – Brigadier General Vicente Danao Jr on Tuesday, 29 October 2019, held his first staff conference as Region 4A Police Chief.

The former Manila Police District (MPD) chief and known Davao City top cop assumed Calabarzon’s top cop position last October 20 following a major revamp at the Philippine National Police headquarters on the heels of the “Ninja Cops” controversy that dragged the name of former PNP chief Oscar Albayalde down that led to his eventual resignation.

On his first-ever formal conference in the region, Gen. Danao laid down his main program and directive before distinguished PNP officials of crime-prone Calabarzon.

On top of which he said is a no-nonsense implementation of peace and order in the region made up of the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon.

Danao also reminded top Region 4A PNP officials of President Duterte’s directive on war on drugs and illegal gambling.

They should at all times maintain his one-strike policy on video karera, fruit game aside from other illegal activities in the region.

Danao also said Region 4A PNP might undergo drastic revamp in the provincial, city at municipal police stations level against erring members of the police force and officials alike should his fight versus illegal drugs and gambling in Calabarzon is not followed. (IAMIGO/CNS)
