MANILA, Philippines – It’s going to be a Creamline Cool Smashers and Petro Gazz Angels showdown in the Premier Volleyball League-Open Conference Finals after they finished off their respective semifinals opponents in two games over the weekend.

The unbeaten defending champion Creamline made quick work in their semifinals opponent Motolite via a dominant 25-18, 25-15, 25-8 three-set victory.

That also extended Creamline’s winning streak to 18 that all but punched in a finals ticket.

Alyssa Valdez delivered on offense for Creamline once again as she finished with 17 points, while Michelle Gumabao had 13.

The Cool Smashers will defend their title against the last conference’s champs Petro Gazz, which earlier overwhelmed Banko Perlas also in three sets (28-26, 25-17, 25-17).

Petro Gazz top hitter Jovelyn Prado had 13 hits to lead the scoring for the Angels.

Stephanie Mercado and Jonah Sabete contributed 11 and 10 apiece, while Cherry Nunag had seven markers.

Game One of the Finals series between the Cool Smashers and Angels will kick off on November 6. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAMIGO/CNS)
