Caliraya lake, unlike others, is man-made, one of the Uber-projects during the Marcos administration.

Visting this majestic lake takes you about three hours. Upon reaching Kalayaan, a new municipality in the province of Laguna, street directions will take you up the mountain and unto this sparkling lake.

Motorists, especially those driving Harley Davidsons, usually go to this nearby tourist spot not just to soak on the greenery but also eat hot and delicious bulalo soup, a delicacy sold in various street eateries along the road and in some parts surrounding the lake.
