Oil companies on Monday announced price adjustments in their petroleum products that will be implemented on Tuesday.
In separate advisories handed out by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. they will implement price hikes wherein the per liter of gasoline will increase by P0.40, diesel by P1.50, and kerosene by P1.25.
It is set to take effect on Tuesday, March 7, at 6 a.m. Other firms have yet to make announcements as of this writing.
According to the latest data, the price increase follows the rollback implemented last week, when firms cut prices per liter of gasoline by P0.70, diesel by P1.30, and kerosene by P1.80.
Meanwhile, the Department of Energy (DOE) said that the year-to-date net decreases stood at P2.40 per liter for kerosene and P2.30 per liter, and a net increase of P5.30 per liter was recorded as of February 28, 2023.
The said price hike came amid the week-long transport strike by several public utility jeepneys with jeepney operators and drivers protesting the Modernization Program.
