BREAKING!  COVID updates:  25,930 positive;  1,088 deaths;  5,954 recoveries

The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Sunday an increase of 539 positive cases –366 fresh and 173 late– of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country,  bringing the total to 25,930 cases in the Philippines.

The DOH also reported 14 new fatalities, bringing the death toll in the country to 1,088.

Meanwhile, 248 cases of recoveries were reported, bringing the total to 5,954.

“As of 4PM today, June 14, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 25,930,” said the DOH in its COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #092 .

“In addition to the 366 fresh cases, 173 late cases were also reported today. Today’s fresh cases are based on the daily accomplishment reports submitted by only 44 out of 54 current operational labs,” DOH said.

“DOH likewise announces 248 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 5,954,” they said.

The DOH said total cases reported may be subject to change as these numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation./Stacy Ang
