Celebrity actress and GMA artist Maine Mendoza announced that she has raised over half a million pesos, a week after starting a donation drive for daily wage earners.

Maine, also mainstay in noontime show “Eat Bulaga” , said in her Twitter account that her team has sent financial support to 587 families, including pedicab drivers, bus drivers, tricycle drivers, street vendors, construction workers, as well as several others.

“7 days after the launch of DoNation Drive, we have accumulated a total amount of P587,677.92. We have sent financial support to 587 families for the past 6 days thru GCash,” Maine said.
