In meeting with representatives from the different government agencies, Domagoso also asserted the commitment towards progress and further guaranteed positive and collective action from the city government.
“We will catch up, we will face this, we will confront this. Bear with us, we’ll put things in the right perspective. Pipilitin naming palaganapin ang kaayusan at kalinisan tungo sa maaliwalas at panatag na lungsod,” Domagoso told the members of the council.
RPOC is the coordinating body for the peace and order in the country through a forum discussing issues concerning security and public safety.
In his opening remarks, Domagoso addressed the current situation of the National Capital Region and the difficulty of leading cities with different cultures and views.
“Metro Manila is a very challenging region because it’s highly diverse, representing every culture, custom and even language, ” Domagoso said.
Likewise, he also shared the continuous initiative, in cooperation with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), to eradicate drug abuse and addiction in the city.
“The PNP, PDEA, and the city government are working hand in hand para mabigyan ng kapanatagan ang mga mamamayan ng lungsod ng Maynila,” Domagoso assured./Stacy Ang
