The stats are just in…
For January, more than 2,300,000 online users read news and opinion items published in the Currentph.com, according to Google Analytics. At one point, 12,000 views in one post alone, when Currentph.com published the decision of the Tagaytay city council for a possible evacuation in light of the Taal Volcano eruption.
We just broke a record, thanks Feedspot, Google and all the other search engines. Mind you, we are not using any SEO tactics here. Partida na.
Currentph.com is also growing at Youtube, with 500 users spending 6.8 hours worth of Currentph TV video material!
On behalf of Impact Publishing, I would like to congratulate the men and women behind Currentph.com.
We would not achieve this break thru without the help of Stacy Ang, our prolific writer based in Manila. Let us not forget the relentless efforts made by Ismael Amigo and the contributions of Lloyd Tagbago and the young Current News Service (CNS) team.
Likewise, thanks to numerous and “anonymous” contributors from various beats–we appreciate the support.
Ed Cordevilla, Patricio Mangubat, Dick Pascual, Mentong Laurel, Lito Biraogo and to some extent, Ado Paglinawan gave their excellent insights and enriched our knowledge about what’s happening in our country.
Currentph.com has new staff–in the person of Tamara Wong and Rocklyn Deleon. These brave women are behind the continuing success of Currentph.com.
Currentph.com will continue its advocacy of open, free and independent journalism. We do not take sides. We tell you what it is. It is up to the public to form their own opinions or views of what’s happening in the Philippines and other parts of the world.
