
MANILA, Philippines — At 10 a.m. today, Saturday (21 December 2019), a Low-Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 410 km East Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (6.4 °N, 129.5 °E).
State weather bureau Pagasa said the said weather condition will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Caraga and the provinces of Davao Oriental and Davao de Oro (formerly Compostela Valley).
Residents in these areas, especially those living near river channels, low lying areas and mountainous areas, are advised to take appropriate action against possible flooding and landslides.
The public and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to take precautionary measures and monitor for updates to be incorporated in the public weather forecast at 4:00 PM today and 4:00 am tomorrow.
