Trump makes a surprise visit to soldiers in Afghanistan

AFGHANISTAN (From the Web) — US President Donald Trump has made a surprise visit to soldiers stationed in Afghanistan in conjunction with Thanksgiving Day in America.

This is also Trump’s first visit to the country since he took office.

The Air Force One presidential plane landed at Bagram Airfield in secrecy, which included White House National security adviser Robert O’Brien, several aides, secret service agents, and select journalists.

They also held talks with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani before his speech to the soldiers. (Marian Sinamban/IAMIGO/CNS)
