MANILA, Philippines — The cable channel HBO said Tuesday, 05 November 2019, that it has given a 10-episode order to “House of the Dragon,” which was set 300 years before the original series that ended its eight-season run.
The prequel is based on George RR Martin’s Fire & Blood,” HBO said. The new drama was co-created by Martin and Ryan Condal, whose credits include “Colony.”
It will focus on House of Targaryen, made famous in “Game of Thrones” by Emilia Clark portraying as Daenerys and fearsome dragons.
However, HBO refused to comment on reports that it had dropped another GOT prequel set thousands of years before the original series started.
