Indonesian involved in kidnapping Chinese nationals arrested

GMA suspect

Philippine National Police-Anti-Kidnapping Group arrested a 26-year-old Indonesian national allegedly involved in kidnapping two Chinese nationals.

On Tuesday, police identified the suspect as a certain Falendra, also known as Parker, supposedly a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) employee.

He was arrested on June 21 in Barangay Poblacion, Makati City.

Based on the complaint of female victim Xiong Lifei, she was brought to a secluded area in Tagaytay City but fortunately, she was able to escape last June 20.

A couple saw her and brought her to Camp Crame on June 22 so she could file a complaint against the suspect, police said.

Lifei then told the police that her cousin, named as Xie Pie Wu, was also kidnapped by the suspect’s group last June 21 in Makati City.

Police said an operation is still ongoing to rescue the victim.

The suspect is currently detained at the PNP-AKG office for filing of appropriate charges.

Investigation is still ongoing as regards the incident./Stacy Ang
