On Saturday morning, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin met with Chinese Ambassador Huang Xi Lian, who turned over the donation of the Chinese Government to the Philippines which included medical supplies such as test kits, surgical masks, N95 masks and personal protective equipment (PPE).
The donation from Chinese Government including 100,000 test kits, 100,000 surgical masks, 10,000 N95 masks, and 10,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) arrived in Manila Saturday morning.
Ambassador Huang Xilian delivered the goods to Locsin at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The donation from China came amid the lack of test kits, PPEs and masks among health professionals taking care of COVID-19 patients, as well as law enforcers manning checkpoints, as the whole of Luzon is under enhanced community quarantine./Stacy Ang
