China donates 18k PPEs and 150k testing kits to the Philippines —DFA

China has donated about 150,000 testing kits and 18,000 disposable overalls for medical frontliners in the Philippines amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

The DFA said Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. and the Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. received the medical supplies from Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian in a simple turnover ceremony.

According to the DFA the event was witnessed by DOH Undersecretary Mario Villafuerte and DFA officials.

So far, the Philippines has recorded a total of 10,610  COVID-19 cases, including 704 deaths and 1,842 recoveries./Stacy Ang
