Human Skull Found in Taal Lake during Missing Sabungeros Search

Amids the ongoing search for the missing sabungeros who were allegedly dumped in Taal Lake, Secretary of Justice Crispin Remulla has said that a Human Skull has been found.

“One set of skeletal remains was found, including a human skull with upper teeth” said Remulla.

Remulla hopes that the skull contains DNA that helps identify if it belongs to one of the missing sabungeros.

“We can see that the testimony of the witness is reliable; that the bodies of murdered sabungeros were dumped in the lake,” he said.

Whistleblower Dondon Patidongan has tagged Businessman Atong Ang as the mastermind of the missing sabungeros along with actress Gretchen Barretto, Eric Dela Rosa and Celso Salazar.

“Siya ang mastermind, at siya ang nag-uutos na talagang iligpit ang mga ‘yan”. He said identifying Ang as the mastermind and that Barretto was fully aware of the operation.

“One hundred percent na may kinalaman siya dahil lagi silang magkasama ni Mr. Atong Ang”. He added refering to Barreto’s alleged knowledge of the sabungeros. Though, Barretto through her legal counsel denied any involvement on the issue.

Patidongan said that over 100 sabungeros are missing and not the reported 34. Patidongan claimed he served as Ang’s chief of security of his farms and cockfight areas.

Ang later filed cases against Patidongan and another whistleblower, Alan Bantiles, also known as “Brown”, for tagging him as the mastermind of the heinous crime.

Sec. Remulla has said that Barretto and Ang would still be included in the list of suspects, and formal cases would be filed against them soon.

On his fourth State of the Nation Address, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. vowed that the Government will make sure to put the mastermind behind bars regardless if they are powerful.
