What social entrepreneur and model Deniece Cornejo does when the Department of Justice (DoJ) abides by the decision of the Court of Appeals (CA) to pursue her case of rape and acts of lasciviousness against actor and television host Vhong Navarro, Ferdinand Navarro in real life?
“I’m focused on other things,” said Deniece in response to our request for an interview about the recent developments of her legal battle against Vhong.
Deniece pleaded with us not to hunt her down for an interview. “Pls,” she noted in our online chat. “I’ll focus on our projects.”
On July 31, 2022, the Appellate Court’s 14th Division reversed the ruling of DoJ on April 30, 2018 and July 14, 2020, to dismiss the complaint filed by Deniece in 2014 against Vhong Navarro for attempted rape.
The CA has ruled that the DoJ should have allowed the trial courts to hear Cornejo’s complaints and Navarro’s counterclaims.
Deniece has invoked Divine Providence in the case’s recent developments. “There is proper timing for everything God is telling me not to,” she quipped.
