Quezon City Police releases composite sketch of ‘spotter’ in NCMH chief slay

Sketch

Quezon City Police released on Friday a composite sketch of the alleged spotter in the killing of National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) chief Dr. Roland Cortez.

Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit chief Police Major Elmer Monsalve said the alleged spotter was regularly monitoring the victim before the incident happened.

Cortez and his driver Ernesto Dela Cruz were shot dead in Barangay Culiat last Monday.
Initial investigation showed that the suspects were men riding in motorcycle.

Monsalve said an investigation is still ongoing to determine the gunman of the incident.

“Mayroon… siguradong mayroon kami dahil may mga sinusundan pa rin kaming CCTV,” he said.

Monsalve said police have also learned that Cortez had been receiving threats prior to the shooting incident.
