BOC-NAIA destroys 11.2 tons of unsafe goods

 

The Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) has destroyed 11.2 tons of unsafe imported goods on Saturday.

The BOC-NAIA said the goods were found to be not fit for human consumption.

The BOC-NAIA said among the goods were medicines, chemicals and food products without clearances from the Food and Drug Administration.

It was the fifth time this year that the BOC-NAIA destroyed goods not fit for human consumption.

A total of 28.1 tons of unsafe imported goods without clearances and permits from regulating agencies have so far been destroyed by the BOC-NAIA this year./Stacy Ang
