The University of the Philippines (UP) said results of their college entrance exams have been released online on Saturday evening.
The UP Office of the Student Regent confirmed the release of the UP College Admissions Test (UPCAT) 2020 in a Facebook post during the weekend.
The results can be viewed on the UPCAT’s main website, https://upcatresults.up.edu.ph/ .
The release of the results was originally scheduled for March 30, but had to be postponed due to the enhanced community quarantine that was imposed on Luzon on March 17 amid the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), UP said.
The university said on Tuesday that the release of results has been delayed because “only a tiny fraction of its workforce” is conducting validation procedures and final computations for over 100,000 examinees.
The UPCAT was held on two days, October 5 and 6, and 11,000 examinees were expected to have taken each session.
The university said 90,408 students took the UPCAT in 2018 for Academic Year 2019-2020.
However, only 11,821 or 13% were qualified for admission.
UPCAT is being given in Diliman and other UP campuses./Stacy Ang
