Michael Jordan with liver problems?

Is the world’s only basketball superstar of mythic proportions suffering from some kind of liver ailment? Seems like it from concerned people who watched Michael Jordan in the documentary film ” Last Dance.” Jordan appeared in the movie, heavier, with puffy cheeks and eyes that appeared with some yellowish tint instead of white. Everyone knows that “yellow eyes” suggest jaundice, an ailment connected with the liver or gall bladder.

Last Dance, a Netflix/ESPN documentary film, tells about the mythical journey of the Chicago Bulls during the nineties. The film is inspiring and probably most people knows most of the things shown here but the film deserves several more viewings–just for the memories.

Six NBA championship titles and if Michael Jordan had his way–they could have gunned for a seventh. Michael Jordan is the quintessential basketball player. He’s called by many names–Black Jesus, Black Cat, the goat– and he always deliver the goods inspite of emotional and physical trials that came his way.

Jordan was the anchor that held the greatest basketball franchise team for years. As a team captain, Jordan was often times described as a cuss talking, slave driver as a leader on and off the court. He’s highly competitive and expects his teammates to work the same way as he does. Of course, there is simply no one during his time that equals Michael Jordan when he’s in his A game. Many tried— Karl Malone, Reggie Miller, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Isaiah Thomas and for a time, even his former Bulls team mates Horace Grant and BJ Armstrong– and all came out short.

His tenacity on court had a terrific effect on the game because most NBA players upped the ante of their respective games. He took the standard so high, that most gave everything they had playing against the Bulls or with Jordan or not. That explains why the nineties was the NBA’s best decade. Former NBA commissioner David Stern told it straight– NBA is now seen in more than 200 countries around the world, thanks to the larger than life Michael Jordan.

While he’s god on the court, Jordan is a human off-court. He had his share of controversies among those, gambling and drinking. He also smokes a cigar. Of course, Jordan deserves to have fun, but gambling a day before a game?

That explains why several netizens noticed some yellow tint in the 57 year old basketball legend’s eyes. Jordan is known to love whiskies. In the Last Dance, everyone saw a much heftier Jordan and his “yellow eyes.” Is he suffering from liver ailments?
