The Manila City government has noted that they have successfully implemented a 48-hour lockdown of Sampaloc district, in spite of more than a hundred violators apprehended
In a report released on Sunday, the Manila City government said, there was “successful implementation of 48-hour total lockdown within AOR (area of responsibility) of Sampaloc.”
They said, from 8:00 PM of April 23, 2020 to 8:00 PM of April 25, 2020, there were 157 arrested violators; 34 persons rescued including 13 minors and 21 street dwellers.
The report was made by the Manila Police District Station 4 personnel, including augmentation from the traffic bureau, SWAT, Special Action Forces (SAF) and mobile division.
Meanwhile, for the entire 48-hour lockdown, 752 Sampaloc residents have also taken rapid antibody tests while 68 have taken swab tests.
This was reported by Manila Health Department (MHD) Acting City Health Officer Dr. Arnold Pangan, who said most residents who have taken rapid antibody tests have tested negative.
