The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Friday that coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases nationwide surged to 5,878 with 218 new infections.
The DOH also reported 25 new deaths for a total of 387, according to the DOH COVID-19 Case Bulletin No. 34.
