Manila government transfers patients afflicted with COVID-19 to Ninoy Aquino Stadium

The Manila City government has transferred coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients to the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The sports facility inside the Rizal Memorial Complex has recently been converted to a quarantine center with a 112-bed capacity through the joint efforts of the national government and the private sector.

The quarantine center has air-conditioned cubicles with plug-in outlets, free food for patients and the attending medical staff, free internet connection, and round-the-clock medical assistance.

As of April 13, there were 323 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Manila City, with 42 deaths and 27 recoveries. Nearly 500 others are being investigated for possible infection./Stacy Ang
